And thanks for the luv.

Although Willie Baronet is indeed a mighty farce, er, force in creative blogging, the character of Wilhelmina Yazzie sprang from another place in my consciousness -- names I've seen of Navajo folks.

The way I wrote this?
The song title triggered an image of a skinny old-man-in-pearl-button-shirt wrist reaching to punch in a song in an ancient jukebox. And then I "saw" the cafe, and all three Navajo folks...had to "eavesdrop" on what they were saying...and then I "noticed" the young woman sitting in a booth with a cup of coffee...so, visual imaginings leading to wordsmithing.

;-)Lori Witzelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04744273435691506484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19290845.post-1144831356957124812006-04-12T01:42:00.000-07:002006-04-12T01:42:00.000-07:00Is it by coincidence that so many bloggin names ap...Is it by coincidence that so many bloggin names appear in your story? Started missing the mountains, and the general Yá'át'ééh-ness (Navajo for Shalom) of things there.Lori Witzelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04744273435691506484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19290845.post-1144767262354319922006-04-11T07:54:00.000-07:002006-04-11T07:54:00.000-07:00lost in little dust-devil thoughtsGreat line.I enj...lost in little dust-devil thoughts
Great line.

I enjoyed this... particularly the deft little closure.

Reminds me, of course, a little of Toni Hillerman territory.MBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14515233228776181123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19290845.post-1144765548091214402006-04-11T07:25:00.000-07:002006-04-11T07:25:00.000-07:00Wow, very cool.
