I was looking through it and see that I had underlined the following passage, which I want to share with you re: your question about drawing and photography... <BR/><BR/>"la dénotation du dessin est moins pure que la dénotation photographique, car il n'y a jamais de dessin sans style; enfin, comme tous le codes, le dessin exige un apprentisage (Saussure atribuait une grande importance à ce fait sémiologique).
