Illustration Friday: Rain

The song "It's Raining" was written by Naomi Neville; Irma Thomas' version is my favorite.

  3. I always liked the itsy bitsy spider and the water-spout song.

A somber story...why so sad? Did you run out of Tim-Tams?

  4. PS: I'm liking these draw-rings, Lo-Wi. In the words of The Andrea True Connection..."More, more, more!"

  5. Thanks folks...

Well, T, I did use up all my Tim-Tams when my office mates snarfed 'em down in our grand Cross-Cultural Experiment, but not the cause...just sometimes a passing mood and the ghost of a song causes Low Rain. And until I drew it, had no idea there was a dark underbelly to the Eensy Weensie Spider song.

Will make sure I have more ballpoints handy to catch all the weather!

  6. I feel like I've started watching the show in the middle of the season...there's a whole story befoer and after these few scenes! I love your combination of words and images as well as the different points of view. great job!

  7. "I used to be able to sense a thunderstorm as it arrived, the heaviness building in the air..."

Although I made a drawing for IF, I never really took any time to think about this rain thing. I recently moved from Tucson to Las Vegas. Summer storms in Tucson were thrilling and delicious. Las Vegas doesn't really have rain, per se. :)

This line really brought it home to me!
