We humans believe we are soooooo talented and sooooo smart, but sun, rain, wind will some day bring down everything we've created. The process of disintegration is often so beautiful. I just love this shot - made by the hand of woman, not by God at all!
I'm thinking splinters. And also, only one coat? Maybe not so old after all. But then there's much that seems to me these days to be not so old after all.
Your blog is a lifeline. Thanks so much, Lori.
