What is that plant -- perhaps a palm going through a rough period?

Interesting that some other plant seems to have sprouted at its base... it's a plant eat plant world out there!

Poor wee thing. It's not nice to strangle plants with indifference. (In my younger, less conscientious days, I'm sure I offed quite a few ;d.) Can't you make this your personal Charlie Brown tree, Lori?

the plant has that seuss texture and attitude. I like the shadows captured here, one looks brought on by glass--with water behind it , very interesting that shadows should have different textures too.
