inspiration, all of it comme d'habitudebut damnspeed reading in a broom closetis NOT suited to poetrybest, chica - some of the font treatments are already cooking away in my head :-)
Check out Allison V. Smith, photographer. Particularly check out her Marfa series.
Hi there!RL: Thankyewverrymuch! Ooh, don't forget to turn down the flame under those fonts lest you have this:http://www.fontsy.com/font_details_2965.htmlShelly: Will do, and you know I'll be a short drive from Marfa this weekend...here's hoping my road-trip friend is patient (and that her back holds up for the 7+ hour drive).
A side-note for Shelly:I went to Carmen's Cafe the last time I was in Marfa. Darn good Tex-Mex, slant light through cheap lace curtains, homely hand-painted murals, a cabal of tough-looking middle-aged ladies dishing over lunch, some old frail gentlemen, and no sign of the foo-foo arts community except for one table's denizen wearing Euro-styled eyeglasses. Oh, and there was the lady with the green parrot...From back when I was playing with a digital camera for the first time ever:http://chatoyance.blogspot.com/2005/11/lunch-in-marfa.html
This one looks like a response to the last one...Hope your Blue Monday turns into that kind of blue.
