Dreams with bees

"...The last memory I have
Is of a flower that cannot be touched,

Through the bloom of which, all day,
Fly crazed, missing bees. ..."

From "Flower Herding on Mount Monadnock" by Galway Kinnell

***

I have had at least two recent dreams with bees in them.
I'm going in for some surgery Tuesday, and will come back and post as soon as I can. Stay well and happy, and thanks for stopping by!

The bees in the dream are an omen that the surgery will be a piece of, dare I say corn bread. Thoughts with you.

Gorgeous photo. Gorgeous poems.

In my world, whether in dreams or awake, bees bring nothing but good things, Lori. Wishing you good health and peace of mind.

What a beautiful flower. May the surgery go well and may you be back blogging again before too long.

You guys are the best.

S: Sending thoughts of a piece of warm, jalapeno-laced cornbread with fresh butter to you, sir. Thanks for your supportive energy.

R-L: Am counting on my dreams being a sign of happier portents than my anxiety levels! Thanks for the over-oceans support and good wishes, and same back atcha.

Bonnie: Thanks so much for sending caring thoughts! I really appreciate it.

Dale: Hugs to you, my invisible brother, for the shoulder to lean on.

I've got a friend in from out of town to help, another promising to stop by and help, and Mur's taking off on FMLA leave to help for two weeks, so I've got a lot of on-site support. Of course I'm "a-scaired" but I am also aware of how blessed I am to have such a luxurious overload of care and concern surrounding me.

Now if I can just find where I put my memory...bought cat litter the other day, swore I'd left it in the shopping cart by accident once I was home, and so bought some more. Then found the lost sack today in the back seat of my car.

See y'all once I'm home and doped up! Should be back being forgetful among cats and hubby by Wednesday or Thursday.

It was indeed (so far) a piece of cornbread. Back home -- amazing to me how fast surgery thingies go with laproscopy! -- and pain meds are making me a bit loopy, but all's well at Chez Witzel.

Thanks for sending me your support, good wishes and cheer, all y'all! Now, off to the couch and for some more gigner ale...

Just swung by and that WOW, what a gorgeous photo of a stunning flower! Never seen one of those before, what it it?

I had a dream with a bee in it this week too but then they do come to bother me whenever I'm sitting on my balcony. Oh no, that's wasps.

Too confusing, so I shoved it right back into my subconscious.

Hope the surgery went well. xx

Doing well on the mend -- still a little punk, but all bio-systems are back working and we even went to IHOP (hubbie me and friend) this morning.

Had a marvelous dream a night ago that I was traveling around the world, and in every city I met lots of artists and saw lots of very cool and interesting paintings and drawings -- towards the end of the dream, I said happily, "The whole world is full of artists and art!"

:-)
