Walking across a low-water crossing, I decided the stepping-stones were too far apart for comfort. As I carefully placed a sneaker-covered foot into the creek, I looked over my shoulder -- and determined I needed to wade upstream to see more.
Am glad I did, although the rest of the hike was a bit soggy!
I like your wading in the sunshine photo very much and imagine that you have clear nights with good star viewing, too.

ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just because I go to art museums so much -- but each of your photographs seems to follow a style of painting -- like this one has that closed-in feeling of the Hudson River school -- and recently you've had a Harnett still life -- and a Josef Albers blue patch on that crumbling, Texas barn.
ReplyDeleteI could really cry over this kind of view -- since this inviting little stream is such a typical scene for those who float down the rivers they feed into -- and I really wonder whether we'll ever do it again.
Sigh.
