  1. ..and if it weren't for your blog, I don't think I'd ever be reading all these contemporary poets.

(I like Yusef ! -- when he writes, I like to see through his eyes)

  3. Iron, a hard subject to depict. Just got to be careful not to let your skills get rusty. It makes a great painting.

You've been reading some mighty good poetry lately.

  5. Hi everyone!

Chris -- If it wasn't for my blog, I wouldn't be reading them either -- it helps to create games for oneself, and thus hunt up new writing through the game. :-)

Raindog -- Now I have to Google Purvis! Thanks for the "attagal", coming from you I'm tickled pink and rusty!

Ed -- Ow ow ow ow ow! (And I am rendered pun-stunned, unable to get you back.)

Dave -- I'm sure you'd believe me when I tell you it's incredible how much bad I sift through to find the good. "Entelechy" was particularly problematic for me. :-)

  6. The foreground looks like a combination watercolor/fresco.

The background looks like the torture cell in a prison camp.

The contrast is stunning. It's almost as if the foreground stands in for some sort of decoration of the walls of the background - aesthetically incongruous, yet visually complementary.

    I like.
