I almost went out to Rockdale this weekend to look for lonely ol' rust -- was too tired for the out-and-back, so stayed closer to home. If the press of schoolwork leavens a bit this weekend, it'd be a good trip -- Cedar Park to Rockdale, then south on 77 to Lexington.
But I would be too late for the BBQ.
I have a friend who made the pilgrimage, and she said it was all ungodly good and more. But they sell out by 9am or so -- it's gotten to the point where people are camping nearby to be the first in line.

They hint that they will start shipping soon...if they do, I'll getcha some.
Snow's Barbecue in Lexington, about fifty miles from you. See Calvin Trillin in this week's New Yorker.
