Lori Witzel's pictures, poems and other souvenirs and artifacts.
wow... my inner optimist and pessimist are warring over this one! (oh such inspiring tenacity vs how sad, no chance of ultimate survival)great pic, Lori!
Your photo is beautiful.See I have this theory that nature will eventually reject us completely, and no matter what we do to the environment, it will kick us in the butt anyway.
Obviously, a branch office.
Nature's strongness so well pictured in this foto.
Perseverance comes in many forms...beautiful pics...
Thanks, all, for the resonant comment -- and Andy, please tell Sy this is really the penthouse level arboretum.;-)I was lucky to spot this. It is a real testament to the power of the life-force (and by extension creative energy.)And for anyone wondering, it's in a small North Carolina coastal town very close to where Blackbeard had his base of operations.
This is quite a serene scene.I've heard that if you chop down a tree in North Carolina that Blackbeard's headless corpse haunts you until you find him Ted Williams' frozen head & then plant Katie Holmes placenta in the ground under a sapling. (It's a little known fact that Blackbeard's ghost is a member of GreenPeace. Has been since the 70's)
Amazing shot! I love to come across pictures of nature reclaiming her space. This is a beauty!
Ha! Love it!a.
