You know, sometimes when I click on the link for your blog and the page comes up, I am immediately taken by a feeling of calm and beauty.

this is one of those times.

The only thing that would make this better is me being there.

He looked at the water and enjoyed the sense of quiet that comes from being alone. The air was cool here; the world stopped. This was a dead zone; an area where nothing could intrude. Where nothing could touch him.

He turned. And saw that someone had been watching the entire time.

Thanks for the PICTURE Lori

I love simple nature shots like this. They are beautiful!

Stewart, you just cracked me right up.

Hi there, all y'all -- wanted to share that this lovely snippet was seen in the middle of suburban tract home subdivision sameness. It was a small creek flowing through a culvert in between two streets.

It was so pretty, and such a nice reminder for me that beauty is tucked away in the most everyday places, had to share.

So, MB, although it would be a hoot to have your company, there may be less "there" there than you thought!

Lori, it is often possible to find quite a bit of "there" just about anywhere, if you're willing to look. It's certainly true of some of my photos. That's what I love about your work here — you are obviously looking all the time.
