Fascinatin' Rhythm

George and Ira Gershwin set music to it; Piet Mondrian painted it; and I turned a corner somewhere in downtown San Jose and bumped into it.

It's been a long time since I've been in San Jose. I'm surprised at how blue the sky is. The air appears to be substantially less polluted than it was in 1973. Thanks so much for your photos.

I agree with you about the light...Not that I've been to the Mediterranean, but paintings and photos of Tuscany (and sometimes even Provence seem to use "California" colors. Do get down to Filoli if you have a chance. (Only about 40 minutes from San Jose, just south of Stanford's S.L.A.C.
Small Texas towns are just different, aren't they?
