Turbaned, aloof



No matter how I angled around, these three Clematis texensis flowers wouldn't show their pistils.

And one of the delights in dropping by is seeing plants I won't encounter here in my woods at all. Pretty clematis!

I'm familiar with several "shy" and nodding flower species. They are a good reminder that their display isn't for our benefit, we're just lucky to have the eyes to see them and to manage to be in the Right Place at the Right Time.
