Between raindrops

"...Take in
so much sun that you feel a cold absence,
as if you’ve sipped a hole into the world."

My goodness! Lots to see and think about here . . .

Take a look if you haven't already at some of the books from the better art photographers such a Alec Soth, Martin Parr, Todd Hido, et al. Then. Then consider 64 pps of cars by Lori. There is no book like it, you clearly have the eye to do it, photo books are being given increasing attention, and there is a segment of the world that needs it.

Yes, yes; I know; you're in an MFA program, up to here with assignments and pressures. You have a daytime job. You have cats. You may even have enough left over to have a life.

Nevertheless...

Hey all y'all!

tut-tut: Take your time, and welcome!

Shelly: Perhaps...mebbe so. (I'll have to send you my $0.02 on hot fine art photographers like Soth et al.) The hesitance you hear is the pragmatic view of a woman who'd need to re-edit images for hi-res file sizes suitable for 4C+ printing, and the sourcing needed for the purveyor of printing with bump plates to cover what's not in the CMYK gamut. (So there. Whine whine whine, weenie that I am.)

Lee: It was a beaut.

San: I try to stay slant, like Miss Dickinson, in an effort to hide traces of all except what I saw and how I saw it. :-)

Emma: Yay! How could I not send nice comments, since I love your schtuff?

RD: Thanks much -- gotta love old rolled steel!
