Thanks, all, for your care and concern -- my mom is now back home, and this week has been so far a bit less eventful than the last. (Whew!)

Nice work here under any circumstances. Have you read "Kaddish" by Weiseltier? Sometimes it doesn't seem fitting that he'd work for the New Republic.
