Some weeks the topics are more resonant for me than others, and this didn't tug my emotions but once I thought of using fingerprints I started having fun.
And Pedro, I blush at your praise. Actually started my working life as an illustrator, but moved on to other things over time. It's odd -- I like drawing people not things, and I like photographing things not people.
Love it! Especially the finger tip swirls qua nipple/aureole! I recently revived my rubber stamp collection and now know what to do with all those dirty finger tips! :-)
Lori, what kind of camera did you use on the high rise shot?
Khristina, glad to spread the "finger painting" idea...
;-)
FYI, just used the same camera I've been using lately -- Canon EOS Digital Rebel. Made a few compensations in photoshop to get the data captured to look like what I saw.
Great line drawing too. I really enjoy looking at paintings and sketches...but dont like doing them - my love is more in the 3-dimentional realm of media.
Lori - this is really great! I love the black and white, the lines of the figure, the textured look of the background, and the briliant use of fingerprints! She has such a satisfied look on her face...there's something really sensual about this, even though asphalt on tender body parts isn't my idea of fun! Excellent work...brava!

Ha! I'm thinking hot black tar - and ouch!
A warm, sunny summer day and melted asphalt, great idea. I get the thought of sticky fingers, too ;-)
I see you are a great artist not only with the camera but also with pens and pencils!
Thanks for all your cheers on my sticky piccie!
