I don't know what the hell is that. But who cares, I do know that I like it.
It's good to come back to work after the holidays to find these new pictures to watch, you are making my first day here less painful.
Back to the picture, I love the composition, how the colours are distributed, the colours themselves, the texture of the, hmmm, thing... everything, everything.
I love this, Lori. It's gorgeous. It's a bit like ceramic, a bit like stone, but it's got all the luscious oxides of rusted steel on the sensuous curves of a blade. Beautiful!
Aw shucks, everybody...just a quick note/blush back. Interesting how it's the casual, almost-walked-by-it things that produce the most intense comment flurries.
This auger was sitting in a pile of cast-off construction schtuff near the junction box that dreamed of camping and the creeper vine.
She was (she?) dusty and faded, but had lots of snail-like torque and character, so I grabbed a couple of pics.
Glad you think this was as interesting a find as I did.

I'm thinking, "Ancient alien being, frozen as stone for millenia, gets hole drilled in knee by US Geological Survey mapping team."
But I could be wrong.

Okay. Maybe not knee. Maybe thigh.

These texture shots have been great! The detail is awesome... I like this one the best! It can be used as an overlay for an image!
