Heiroglyphic rust rooster

Little excuse for not sketching except a busy, busy day. So I thought I'd share an anonymous sketcher's work.

This left me wondering: was it Duke who drew the rooster? Or was the rooster named Duke?

As I always say, Chickens Loom Large. Roosters ditto.

Perhaps he was a Rooster of royal blood: a Duke among lesser feathers.

I'm always struck by the way you compose your photos, Lori. That you choose to include the feathers in the lower right corner, and the line of numerals... etc. It's part of what makes your shots so good, of course.

It looks like a flying rooster!

If the rooster's name was Earl then it would be the Duke of earl.

Good image snag, Lori! I like photos that raise more questions than they answer.

I've been thoroughly enjoying your recent sketches -- I wish I could do that, but I think the camera will remain my only visual tool.

This rooster is so awesome! I'm not sure he has an author--I bet Duke just emerged himself.

I keep looking around to see if I can spot something out of the ordinary that I might photograph ...or even something ordinary that I might see in a different way. I bet I wouldn't have thought of Duke. :D
