I don't know about toile, but I think this beautifull image could be frightening. The closed sky, the two toned colors, the (voultures) peacoks hanging over you ... Great!
Hi all -- I hope your Monday's been as peaceful as possible.
Polona: Imagine my surprise and delight -- looking down for flowers and leaves, when a savage AWK AWK AWK called my eye up to the treetops!
PMBC: What was truly frightening was the possibility of peacock poop. They were very large birds, and were not happy that I saw them in the trees.
Laura: When I saw the digital capture had very desaturated color, I thought how interesting it would be to showcase peacocks in black-and-white. (Of course, I loved Beardsely's line work when I was young...) Thanks for the praise, chica!
Ksklein: Thanks tons!
AM: I tend to avoid turning the full-color world into B/W photos -- my personal hang-up. Glad you like this exception to my as-a-rule!
Marly: Peacocks aloft in the live oaks...they grew a bit more vertically than usual, perhaps because the grounds were tightly packed with trees.
Dave: Thanks, and back atcha!
Frank: I am so glad to "see" you around my blog! Have been loving your recent work, keep sharing it!
MB: Thanks! It sure was a surprise to have peacocks overhead.
Pod: Glad you like!
Polona: Some days the patterns just are so nice...

Great!
Oh my god, Lori. That is just so damned beautiful. Toile, shmoile, this is Aubrey Beardsley without the depravity.
wow. whaat a great pic!
This photo makes me stop and look for a long time. Intriguing how expressive black and white can be.
Toile writ large, maybe!
The tree: what is it? Peacocks in the Post Oaks, or what?
Love your recent posts! Especially the rusty bits. Nice work as always Lori!
a great shot!
Wow. Arresting. Better than toile.
fab lori!
I like the pattern of the leaves. The gaps in them remind me of holes in cloth...yes, just like voile.
