Structures

The structure of landscape is infinitesimal,

Like the structure of music,

seamless, invisible.

I do love FeedDemon, as well as the tin man. Nice and clean.

Now there is the sky!

Landscape... softens the sharp edges of isolation.
What a great poem to quote!

The camera always surprises me.

What I saw was a vast, empty, pale cerulean expanse umbrella'd over a string of lonely, far-scattered elements strung across the horizon line.

What the camera saw were a small family of silos huddling and leaning towards their friend the live oak, who was leaning back towards them, all under a sky that turned into the deepening blue of space fast enough to make my head swim.

And ain't that a great poem? Just discovered it today.

Who buried those little tin fellows up to their chinny chin chins?

the sky is so blue! How I miss blue sky like that. Your image is very clean, it is really attractive.

I always get depressed when I see a sky as blue as that, and get a feel for the hugeness of nature, and then see the ugliness of human industrialism.

Such a great shot Lori! The starkness of the land, the blue sky and the silos...amazing really!

What impresses me more is the scale! The scale of this huge cilinders vs the oak and the small dots on the landscape.

I just printed a brochure where I faked a sky like that. The light stuff at the bottom was silver - and then the blue gradually crept in from the top - just like it does here. funny. I felt like I had to fake it, and yet here it is for real (I guess it's real?)
