Bijoux carousel

Oh, now this is a wonderful shot and one that brings up memories of my Dad. In the mid-60s he bought an old carousel horse from Glen Echo Park in the Washington area. It was termite, ant infested, flea bitten (even though it was wood)steed. He attached its pole to an old automobile wheel which he planted solidly in the backyard. For the next few years, if I recall (until my parents sold their DC home and moved of to Estepona), he spent all of his spare time patching and grooming his new pet, which he aptly named "Expensive." I wish I had a photo.

What I would have given to ride that as a child...

There's a similar (though not as beautiful) carousel in the Tuileries. I started to draw it one day earlier this month, but it began to rain. Lovely photo, as always, dear Lori.

Beautiful. The reflections on the glass are insane.
