Almost Famous

I'm almost famous!

Marly, of The Palace at 2am, was kind enough to interview me!

If you've been amassing burning Witzel questions, or wanted to delve deeper into all things Trivial and Witzel, her thoughtful and fun interview may provide the answers you seek.

But you should go to The Palace for other good things -- deeper dives into mid-list and neglected-but-good books, Asian poetry and their sensitive translations, and much more.

Thanks, Marly!

I just read it (and read it and read it! I loved it.) I left a long comment there, so I won't here, but, oh, what fun it is to think of this world that has you both in it.
You and I MUST meet while I'm in San Antonio in March---we're arriving on March 19th or so.
Xoxo,
L

Wonderful interview, though given your creativity I would expect you to speak in meter and rather than "...leaning over her Starbuck’s coffee," be knocking back a scotch. Perhaps one day you, me and our spouses at the White Horse...

Nice work...and revealing.

Hey everyone -- just slip-sliding around here from our Texas-sized ice-storm and thought I'd reply while I can!

Laura: You betcha, you're on -- barring me being out of the area for some unforeseen biz trip, we must meet! :-)

Marja-Leena: I am very blessed with wonderful friends, and count myself lucky for that.

Raindog: We aim to please -- glad Marly's questions made it worthwhile!

Polona: But my only useful skill is baking good bread. All the rest is nice, but inedible. :-)

Ref: Meter? Nah, I'll leave that to this guy I know whose keyboard spawns crenellated sonnets when he's tired or bored. So, when do we (et famille) meet for that fabled Scotch? Enough of these chain coffee shops!

Lori,

Glad you and your e-friends liked it--safe travels to you! And I now realize that I didn't even think to ask about your "biz" side...

I always meet en famille as I can't (a) afford another wife; (b) I need a driver (dreadful at it); and (c) women intimidate me. Cheers and what a wonder set on Keith. Oh, and it may well be sooner than you think. My accountant lives in Amarillo (it's way too long a story) and while I never visit him at tax time, I always do in the spring.
