Equinox arrow

Teetering on the brink of more sun, less dark (for those up here in the Northern Hemisphere, that is. Here's a bit more about what the Southerners among us might see.)

What a peaceful landscape. I felt my shoulders begin to relax, just gazing out at it.

The FDR memorial is made of pink granite. I wonder where it was quarried? Pink granite is a perfect rock.

thank you.

Hey folks!

Reya: Glad my feelings about being in the middle of quiet space came through.

Pedro: Yes, part of it anyway -- I filled up a 2GB CF card on my camera walking around there! Very lovely place. More to come.

Maybe I'm a total freak -- but this scene does not relax me at all.

I feel frustrated -- there are no paths leading into the background -- but there are plenty of impediments -- like rocks -- and eventually a river/lake that's way too wide.

And... on top of that .. it's a cloudy, sunless day.

This looks very much like a Northern Ontario landscape. Nice one!
