Oleander ukiyo-e

"The gravestones do not move; but in the blended motions
of the oleander
its white blossoms stir
like pieces of paper in those dark accumulations
floating in a cluster
in the dirty harbor ..."

I could not bear to change the perfect 4 comments on the pool photo and Berryman quote to 5--but how witty of you.
And this, with a bit from one of my favorite Bishop poems--wonderful. I heard her read many many years ago in a little room at Yale. Shamefully few people attending, and she in a plain black dress, very understated. The poems were, of course, amazing.
