There's no doubt that some movies (and Pics) is just BETTER in Black, White and Grey!

:-D

lol - even enlarged, I can't read the label. You stopped by my blog (the middle-aged, needs glasses story) and left a great comment - I'm delighted to have found yours (and so many others!) as a result. I've been entertained by both the great pictures and the witty comments.

oh, Pauline, I'm glad I'm not the only person peering through reading glasses and swearing!..and Lori, who on earth wanted less color??
Not that your handling of texture and tone and all isn't superb in black and white.

People wanted less color than a washed out feed store??

You guys are cracking me up!

Thought at first I have some mighty magical reading glasses, then realized your monitor resolution and settings may not be the same as my freaky-sharp Mac laptop.

Well, the story on this:

Found the same afternoon as a clump of pics recently posted. Peered into a seemingly empty small-town strip-mall storefront. Saw these clustered off to one corner -- clearly plans are afoot, as was some kind of Industrial-Sized Can of Premium Plus Grey paint, now unwrapped.

Have had a few comments about "what would image X look like in B/W" -- so, since the color range in this one was even more neutral than the feed store, thought I'd give it a whirl.

Me?
I like color, think I'll stick with it in general.

Digital photos made greyscale, even well-toned, make me think of someone aspiring to be what they're not.

My crappy 17" work monitor is useless...great shot! Glad you added the detailed explanation or I'd be scratching my head all night wondering what it is! :D

I always forget which grey (gray?) to use when I write out the word grey. Whose fault is that? This is nice, but I like when you use color...it seems to suit you and your work. ;) Leave the greyness to the singer/song writers methinks.

Have you got the new Macbook? I'm trying to move up from my 15" iBook G4 to the new Macbook, perhaps even the amazingly beautiful Macbook pro, but I'm wondering if it's worth it... I've noticed how "freaky-sharp" are the new Mac screens...

(I could not read what the label says, either, but I like the pic, there's something, er, "Benjaminian" about it).
