"...when I try to imagine a faultless love
Or the life to come, what I hear is the murmur
Of underground streams, what I see is a limestone landscape."

From "In Praise of Limestone" by W. H. Auden

Limestone: just one of the things I'll miss when I head out on a business trip tomorrow morning. See all y'all soon.

had to laugh when I came to your limestone link. Saw myself on I-35 with Mr. B. having his personal run at the mystical experience... at the sight of portions of the Austin Chalk Group! Hey, that's cool - just don't get him started on the topic. Please :-)

Have a good trip, Lori.

Aw, nice photo and accompanying quote, Lori! I live in a limestone area and I appreciate the impressions of other chalky folks!
