Horizon line

"...I’m always racing off,
passing through, as though the present
were a dying town I’d rather flee. ..."

For a minute I thought it was a shot of McCain's lapel, but then I realized...

Good to see you back on the game.

It's a Ford but the same color as the Chevy that RTN owned in 1969. Will be driving south to California soon. Thanks for the poem by Kurt Brown and the thought about the horizon line.

Where I've been walking for the past few weeks there is a fairly new foot bridge with rusty railings. I think you'd like the bridge and the creek.

Hey everybody -- thanks for stopping by!

Dale: :-) I love an old car with a built-in horizon line...

Rethabile: Sorry I have not visited lately -- school and work are keeping me intensely busy. Thanks, I had never read that particular poet before finding him for this post -- am glad you liked.

Mansuetude: I do like getting nose-to-nose with rusty things... Thanks so very much!

Shelly: *snork* Never far from the game, just far from the spare seconds needed to edit and post. Reading Moliere and George Herbert now, and then there's that conference in Lubbock in October...

am: Safe travels; I'll have a road trip or two myself in the near future. That creek and bridge sound like it would be fun for rust-spotting! Hope the crisp fall air is sparkling for you.
