Ooh, I get to fly on Thursday. I can sketch. I forgot! And I just purchased some really cool gel pens. I'll be taking some knitting, too. Gotta get packing. I like your dark haired male plane waiter.....
Your sketches are just absolutely charming--your lines are so full of personality and elan. I wish you'd start a new daily drawing blog ---- now I'm ducking my head in case you heave your carry on at me on reading this suggestion.
Hey everyone! Thanks for all the comments, it's been a delight to come home and feel all the warmth from y'all as well as from Texas skies!
Laura, I feel so double-dog dared! Especially since I'm still on vacation, I have absolutely no excuse for not drawing daily.
Am not sure about setting up a fresh blog for such, but after visiting with my former illustration prof, Chris Magadini (one of the highlights of my travels) I realize yet again how vital drawing is for my mind, heart and eye.
BTW -- here's a taste of Chris' work: http://www.chrismagadini.com/
So look for more sketches... (Sound effect: squonking from the oil can needed to lubricate the rusty drawing joints)

Excellent sketches of human figures! I remember the lovely ones you did a while ago.
The first one is a little red hen.
Chickens Loom Large.
some people are so nosy aren't they? love the sketches ...
Is it really called "Houston Hobby Airport"? It's a little like our local ski area — Bogus Basin. ;-)
Nothing bogus about the sketches, I hasten to add!
Very cool drawings! I like the comments especially.

This is crazy. Just last Sunday, I picked up a sketchbook and told myself I was going to do something I've never done - sit in a Starbucks and sketch.
You beat me to it. And, uh, you draw better :)
But! I don't see no robots in your airport or Starbucks, so there.
Excellent work!
