What is that flower, Lori?

I always enjoy seeing crab spiders using flowers for their own purposes, tapping into the stream of pollinators.

What is a flower photograph without a resident insect (or arachnid)? I especially liked the painterly look of the leaves in the enlargement.

One of the "most mailed" stories in the Boston Globe is about a boy who complained about popping noises in his ears. The ENT guy flushed out one dead and one drowned spider. To his credit, the MD gave the boy the spiders and the boy thought it was neat.
