Grille, deluxe

"...I made him look at the poem.
“There’s a lot of that going around,” he said..."

And a bread-crumb (chametz!) in a trail left by Grilled Flowers Press.

This chametz from Francis Ponge: “You have first of all to side with your own spirit, and your own taste. Then take the time, and have the courage, to express all your thoughts on the subject at hand (not just keeping the expressions that seem brilliant or distinctive). Finally you have to say everything simply, not striving for charm, but conviction.”

This is like a heat-seeking missile.

Whoah! That's somethin' else! It looks like something that’s too good to be in a junkyard. Somebody should figure out how to turn it into something useful.

And then there's bug splat. Lot of that, too. ;-)

I'm with Rrramone---this is stunning. You have an eye for composition like nobody's business and an affinity for old cars that surprises and delights me. Where the heck do you find these??? Is Texas where all vintage cars go to their reward?

I think Laureline is right. You'd never find a beauty like this in such good condition with all the salt splattering from winter roads in New England. I love the little eye.

And, for more deluxe grills . . .

I like to scan the comments. I first read Mauricio's "genial" as "genital." What does that say about my projected response to overkill grilles?

The Matthews Mingus is a gem of wisdom--love that jazzy, improvizational style that sounds so spontaneous but of course isn't.

I wonder if these are the two Cocoa Puffs I purchased online back in March?

L- when are you coming to visit me?

Lori, there's an award for you over at my place. It's Awards by the Truckload Day. Come and make an acceptance speech.

Hi all y'all -- not meaning to be so rarely seen, it's just that my workload's made me feed like the aforementioned bug splat.

Granny J: Least of all Herself!

LeeR: A great crusty breadcrumb, that.

Shelly: Glad you got a kaPOW from it!

Ched: Too many things in this world I'd have kept for looks...so I try to borrow the light from 'em and keep less at hand. (Well, except for books...)

Smiler: They did. Another one o' them rat-rods, highly customized exercises in intentional entropy.

MB: I think it's actually bird poo, but the effect is much the same...and a lot like I've been feelin'!

Rrrrrrrrramone: Dooooood. You really should get to Austin during Kustom Kar time.

Mauricio: You too -- you love a good texture, next time you visit the US plan for it during the Paso Robles show in California if you don't get to Texas!

Raindog: It was a blindingly bright sunny day, so some of what I wanted to share was just too blown out in highlights...glad you like!

Miz L: Central Texas seems to be full of people who love to use welder's tools and remake cars into art. These were all found at a Kustom Kar show, and it's normally hard to find so much rusty goodness in one place.

Gloria: Danke!

Anonymouse: You nut.

Pod: Were they ever? :-)

San: *snork* Well, cars and sex are sorta entwined in the ol' USA...

Anonymoose: Sheesh, teach a guy a new word and he finds...chametz!

Ched: As soon as I find some fresh organic catnip and peacock feather-sticks...

San: Aw, shucks! I will stop by today...
