Planet Pentimento

Good morning, Lori. Blue rider, blue planet (although not the usual one!)...cosmically connected blogs. What kind of camera are you using with such great results? And how do you find your images? Do you come across them in daily life, do you go on image-searching walks, wie machst Du das?

Hi Khristina!

Depending on what I remember to toss in the old car, a Canon S2 IS or a Canon EOS Digital Rebel...I really loved my lil' Canon PowerShot A610 but it kept giving me memory chip errors and siezing up.

However, the Big Thing to me is less the tool than the seeing.

I carry a camera in my car all the time (since where I live in Texas is a driving kind of place) and sometimes see things while going to the grocery store, while taking a lunch break from work, etc.

And I also wander around a lot hoping to be surprised. I've gotten to know a lot of back alleys in small towns around Austin...

Hi Lori, thanks for stopping by my blog. It meant a lot to me to have a new visiter as I had next to no comments yesterday.

Love your way of seeing and capturing the world, it looks like you are able to walk around and see the art in things that others miss. Love the textures here and in the one below, and I really love the cupcakes one.

Hello again Lori,

Thanks for the camera info. I am in the market for a digital camera. All suggestions welcome.

Interesting comment about Texas and driving. I've never had a car...I ride a bicycle. I wonder how having a car would change my seeing of things.

Long live The Big Thing! And yours is really BIG!
It's a gift to have the world come alive.

Greetings from the same planet--not too far away in the big picture!
