Pie-eyed in Marble Falls

The Bluebonnet Cafe is known for pie, and I also enjoy it for people-watching. Sorry, but I ate my slice of lemon meringue pie too fast to sketch it. (The meringue is almost as high as some of the waitresses' up-dos.)

I always love the local cafes. In Silver City, NM you want to go to DIANE'S, in Sebring, FL it's THE CAT HOUSE and here in West Olive, MI you want to go to THE YELLOW JACKET.

It is a new kind of classification for cafes, this "good for drawing café" ...
I am sure any place is good for your sketches and fotos. You will allways compose a good image with the material in hand!

I think I've been to the Bluebonnet. Yummers. Hope things have gotten smoother over your way. :-)

Hi folks!

Ed: I used to occasionally travel to small towns in the north/Midwest for work, and over the years I saw a sharp fall-off in local cafes as compared to chains. Always good to know who's still out there!

MB: Now I have the recalled bustle of the cafe scored to Cole Porter!

PMBC: Aw, thanks. Always was one of my favorite places to draw -- cheap model fees, just a cup of coffee and perhaps a biscuit or pie.

WB: Yummers indeed! Well, Andy's been helping on some Mac tech support, but work is still a bit over the top, and will continue to be I imagine...oh well. As long as I can find things to LOOK at, it's good.
