Shut up

"...everything is torn down
Before you have had time to care for it. ..."

From "An Urban Convalescence" by James Merrill

After yelling "SHUT UP!" at the Bad Driver yakking on their cell phone who cut me off on my way home tonight, it's clear I need a convalescence from urban (or rather suburban) Texas.

I'm gathering an old friend from the airport late Friday night, and early Saturday were are off for places such as this, and this, and this.

Back next week, and posting more late that week.
Have a peaceful week, all y'all!

Alpine, she says. The Davis Mountains. The MacDonald Observatory. Damn. While you're at it, drive by Prude Ranch and give the horses a wave for me?

Can't wait to see the photos that come out of that trip. Peace to you, too. :-)

Oh, perfect! You'll be in search of more verdigris'd and rusted and scraped and peeled and vestigial treasures, you indefatigable archeologist of the divine, you.

Happy travels. Having watched the reprise og George Carlin's last show, I loved the "Shut Up" caption....

I hope you are having a lovely and non urban time of it.
As ever, it's the light in your photos that just makes me pause and gasp. Love it.
